About Ward Mungo

The recipient of a bachelor's degree in business economics from Wofford College, Ward Mungo began his career as an Assistant Project Manager at Mungo Homes in 2008. He served in this capacity until he was promoted to Project Manager for the company's Coastal Division in 2013. Ward Mungo worked 5 months in this role, overseeing the construction of the Spring Grove residential community in South Carolina.

From there, Mr. Mungo served the company as a Purchasing Agent and in a product development capacity. In the latter role, he performed market analysis for new residential communities and designed layout plans based on consumer trends. He was appointed Vice President of Mungo Construction in 2018, and has served as President of the Irmo, South Carolina-based general contracting firm since 2020.

Under his leadership, Mungo Construction builds affordable housing projects and performs other general contracting services. Complementing his construction management experience, he serves as President of the Charleston Homebuilders Association's Board of Directors. He's also a Lowcountry Board Member for Junior Achievement of South Carolina.
